Failure- Part of the Process!

Happy New Year- Maybe,
appy New Month- Really!

How has the year been so far? For me, I have been taking each day of the year One day at a time not because I do not feel like running but because I want to run with purpose as much as possible and not weary myself out.

For the latter part of 2020, I lost all the zeal I had at the beginning of the year. The push to succeed at what I do was lost. I felt it wasn’t making any sense to run towards getting value when I could sit and wait for the deal to come because I hurt myself bad that I Quit! I withdrew to my shell for a while, just trying to do stuff because I was obligated to do it. I wonder if you know the feeling of having your hopes all high about things you are working on and suddenly you a hear a crack first, then a loud shatter. Well, I was at that point!

Yes, I showed up and still participated in stuff, but my heart was far away. I stopped doing all the necessary things; I was waking up and sleeping. If you knew me then, it could seem like I had it all figured out not knowing that I was using extra time with no clear strategy of scoring a goal. I never knew it was a phase for me because I never prepared myself for it.

One day, I woke up to realize that being down wasn’t a best place for me. I knew there was something more out of life, and i was willing to try again. December 2020, I started again. I realized that I shot myself in the leg while making my goals by not preparing for failure because failure is part of the process.

While you may consider it pessimistic about preparing yourself for failure, I think it is realistic, especially for those who are not geniuses. So, you fail, and you stop- and that is fine, but you must start again.

I know some of you have made plans and written goals of what to achieve in 2021, and you are wondering if it will all come together. Why not plan failure with your goals, Because giving room for failure and setbacks will help you understand that it is part of the process and rise again when you fall.

Henry Ford said- “Failure is an opportunity to begin again, this time only more intelligently”. And this can never be more true.

When you give allowances for setbacks, you will make fair use of the opportunity to restrategize and rise again to keep pushing with a better approach.

My dears, no goal is too big to waste your life by just sitting away, and there is also no goal too small not to be achieved. Every one of your goals is achievable but take it easy on yourself while at it.

So, if you have started with your goals, enjoy the process and learn while at it. Remember that your wellbeing is as important as the goal and then put a balance on your wheel. Takes breaks when you can. Take time to evaluate and restrategize when necessary, but never let the fire die permanently!
If you haven’t set your goals, take all the time you need to determine what you truly want and then put all necessary processes together to achieve them. Remember, you are not perfect, so give yourself room for unsatisfactory results.

At the end of it all, like a phoenix, you will rise!

See you at the top!
